Tribal Councilor Jackie Bob Martin is bilingual and fluent in the
Cherokee language. He graduated from the Haskell Institute. He and
his wife Delores Isaacs reside in Stilwell. Councilman Martin has lived
in Adair County all his life. He chairs the Tribal Council Natural
Resources Committee and serves on all eight of the Tribal Council
standing committees. Over thelast eight years Jackie Bob has
distinguished himself as a dedicated full-time Tribal Council member.
He deeply understands Cherokee issues and effectively sponsors
legislation for positive change for our people. His years of active
community service as aboard and committee member of the Adair
County Indian Credit Association Board, Stilwell School Board, the
Eastern Work Force Development Board, Inc., and his active
participation in the Stilwell Baptist Church as deacon and teacher, has
brought proven leadership, experience and insight to his work as a
Tribal Council member.
